Westcotes Flooring has taken the lead to use Recofloor to collect the offcuts from the new Orthopaedic Centre at Colchester Hospital, reducing the project’s footprint by over an estimated 2 tonnes of CO₂ emissions plus saving on disposal costs. The deployment started in December 2023 and the collection service is expected to last until July this year when the new flooring installation is due to be completed.
Veitchi Flooring, Graham Construction
Veitchi Flooring has been using Recofloor to collect approximately 2,300 sqm of vinyl offcuts for NHS Grampian’s new Baird Family Hospital & the ANCHOR Centre. Veitchi has been on this site since late 2022 and are keen to recycle as much waste as possible, supporting their client Graham Construction’s sustainability target of a 50% reduction in construction waste by 2030.
MacGregor Flooring, Bam Construction
MacGregor Flooring regularly uses Recofloor to collect waste vinyl direct from project sites or accumulate the waste at their premises for later collections. As of today, they have collected an impressive 63 tonnes of vinyl flooring from various projects. At their most recent installation at Parkhead Health Centre in Glasgow they have collected nearly 2 tonnes of vinyl offcuts.
