Conflict Avoidance Week Launches From 24th to 28th March 2025

The Conflict Avoidance Coalition is launching a campaign to raise awareness of conflict avoidance and better dispute management. Conflict Avoidance Week 2025 will focus on driving a cultural shift – fostering collaboration, cooperation, and communication across the construction industry.

The week will be officially launched on 24th March 2025 via an online webinar, which will introduce the initiative and highlight the importance of conflict avoidance in construction and engineering projects. There will be an opportunity to hear from a range of industry professionals involved in conflict avoidance activities, plus learn about the key projects of the Conflict Avoidance Coalition and how to get involved.

The speakers are:

  • Len Bunton – Conflict Avoidance Consultant and Chair of the Conflict Avoidance Coalition
  • Sue Barrett – Head of Contracts and Procurement, Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Delivery Authority
  • Anthony Armitage – legal counsel of Thirdway Interiors, leading commercial interior designers.
  • Iain McIlwee – CEO of the Finishes and Interiors Sector representing over 600 member organisations
  • Edward Schryver – Commercial Director of VVB Engineering.
  • Liam Forry – MD of Forry Consulting, commercial advisers to the Services Sector.
  • Stephen Blakey – Strategic Commercial Director, North West and Central, Network Rail
