The All NEW Interlocking Aluminium Entrance Matting System – TrakMat Stockholm From Genesis

Genesis Global Systems Ltd are thrilled to present this case study showcasing a new interlocking Aluminium Entrance Matting System – TrakMat Stockholm, which was selected for two doorway entrances of busy gyms that endured high levels of foot traffic.

On behalf of Anytime Fitness, Torsion Building Services approached their chosen distributor, DMS Flooring Supplies, in Colindale, London requesting advice for this project. DMS recommended Luke Boorer of Genesis to the contractor, and he guided the client through multiple product solutions along with the process, from the templating service right the way through to installation.

With a strict time constraint of job completion before Christmas, Luke advised that the quickest solution was the newly introduced interlocking Aluminium Entrance Matting product. Luke calculated the required quantity of materials and advised on how to install the entrance matting, plus quoted the suitable ramp profiles which resulted in something both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Further advice was necessary regarding the installation process, as one of the mats was over two metres wide, exceeding the channel length for this product. The recommendation was to install the mat in three sections with an even split either side, using Genesis trim to create the mat areas.

The installation process has been described as very easy, the interlocking entrance matting system was straightforward to install and did not require for any joints to be forced together. “We simply used a jigsaw for the small cuts and a chop saw to cut the sides down. This was also added by the expert advice that Luke gave us.”

All materials were delivered to site within a few days of ordering facilitating installation to meet this project deadline.
