CFA Announces AGM With Build UK’s Jo Fautley as Keynote Speaker

The CFA has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on the morning of Thursday 17th July 2025 with Jo Fautley, Deputy Chief Executive of Build UK, as its Keynote Speaker.

Jo Fautley is responsible for the day-to-day management of Build UK and oversees the successful delivery of high-profile projects that are transforming the industry. Jo represents the industry to Government and key stakeholders, including the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) of which she is a Director.

As Keynote Speaker, Jo will be providing an update on the latest Build UK developments, with a particular focus on key challenges impacting specialist contractors. Key topics will include:

  • Pre-qualification schemes (PQs) – CFA continues to support the Common Assessment Standard as the best option
  • Payment practices and retentions
  • Competency & The Building Safety Regime (its relevance to specialists)

The morning AGM will be followed by the CFA’s new ‘A Day at the Races’ event. The booking deadline for this new event to the CFA Calendar is Friday 23rd May 2025 – interested parties are encouraged to book now to avoid disappointment. The England race day adds to the CFA’s annual race day at Hamilton Race Park, Scotland taking place on 16th June 2025. For more information about the ‘A Day at the Races’ events, please visit the CFA website’s events area.

The CFA will be issuing AGM papers to CFA members at the end of May. In the meantime, CFA members are asked to make a note of the date in their diary to make use of this valuable opportunity to hear Jo’s insights on the latest Build UK developments and key issues affecting specialist contractors. It’s also members’ chance to engage with the CFA directly by asking any questions they may have and gaining clarity on the topics that matter to them most.
